The men standing directly in front of him parted, as their commander walked through them. Standing at an impressive seven feet tall, Commander Aslan was a man of royal blood himself, having chosen to abdicate in favor of his uncle when he was only ten years old. Ever since, he had dedicated his life to being a man of honor, eventually joining the ranks of the country's holy knights. "Do as he says men. Scotel, you need to hone your magic better. You need to start up lessons with Cleo starting tonight. This could have been avoided, had you told me who was coming."

Turning to face the prince and his mother, he went down on one knee, crossing an arm over his chest, bowing his head in reverent respect for the Queen. "I apologize for the rather strong reception that you and your son received." Hearing the men start to chatter behind him, he stood to his feet and turned sideways, sweeping an arm out as Talia walked through the crowd. She stopped beside Aslan, hiding her feeling of intense uneasiness as she gave a sweeping bow to the two of them. "Hello, Your Highness. Your Majesty. I am Talia, princess of the realm. I welcome you."

Midday, the hour between the morning and the afternoon, in-which the suns light aided casting shadow to point sighs of the hour. Even so, this imposes quite a concerning eventuality, upon one soul taking attention to this hour related in occurrence. “Late,” one muttered anxiously in silence, muffling to not be overheard. “Unacceptable, a man of my stature late, on this day of all days,” once again a male in his first year as an adult muttered mutely to the ear. Under the towering evergreens which overshadows the landscape of the vast wilderness, gives the gazing beholder a depicting illusion of a sea formed with trees, in a way it seems to go on forever. Therefore it seems as though there is no end to the sea of trees. Thus a call for concern to the one eagerly looking forward to find the foot end to this mass forest.

Kylak of Ilyam, the Dark Elf mage prince of Ilyam. One who finds himself on pilgrimage towards the neighboring kingdom of Aslan, under obligation and duty to his own kingdom. Ever since his 5-years-of-age, never his own life is his own to chose ones desired path. Due to the arranged marriage, betrothed to Aslan's princess. Despite this, all the same since innocent youth the young dark elf held absence in adolescent, when being raised to quickly mature. Always the obedient one, Kylak is beholding on to others. Never to have found himself in disagreements or disobedient among the head of the royal household, or those in authority to advise and teach him. Clearly his upbringing since birth, has refined the prince into the ideal image 16 years in the making. Leading up to this day where the prince is to marry the princess.

Following the guiding path, made up of hard paved stone, a small caravan on horse back followed in single file throughout the forest deeps. Identified as royal guardians in the highest order. Them in accompany to the dark elf prince, also, along side Kylak on this journey, his mother Ilyam's Queen. Who took notice of her son's distress despite himself holding a calm demeanor in expression which fooled the guards. “Dear boy, why must you worry,” she asked him using a soft tone voice that held cold emotions. “We're hours away from the desired destination, so why worry yourself over the time? Likely, we'll surely be there on time.” In turn to respond, Kylak worded softly but angrily; “why must you had insisted upon taking the long path, through this endless wooden labyrinth? By now, if at my wishes to take the main road, we would have arrived.” The words of the prince brought a mother smirk, smirking evilly with the head slowly shaking to express disappointment. “Dear boy, how disappointing you make your poor mother feel at the heart. How I thought you'd be better then this. Have you not learn well from me? How utterly disappointing!” The conversion brought the prince to a understanding behind his mothers words, notice in a slight widening of the eyes. “Must you always doubt me mother? Must I always have to prove my power to you? Very well...”

Evilly her smile widen out, stretching further pass cheek length over the sight of her son, fooled into heed her desires. He'd signaling the guards men to halt before taking the lead in front of the convoy, while an arm extended forward, proceeding to draw a line into the air overhead and downwards at the ground. At this, the line became visible in the air, without a solid canvas while widening outwards on the horizon perspective like the shape of an eyelid opening. In the making a castle image presented itself, being Aslan's kingdom, which Kylak created a door way through his magic. A portal linking two areas far from one another. The dark elf made no further reply nor looked at his mother, but merely glanced at her from the corner of his eye while ordering the men to carry onward through the gateway. With a little uproar for those on the other side, beholding a tear in the air as men walked through. The scare likely brought Aslan's knights to mount themselves around the gate, with swards and spears. Responding, the guards protecting Kylak and the queen unsheathe their blades, but thankfully before blood is first drawn the prince took the lead to offer peaceful words. “Please withdraw your arms, I'm expected here. I am Prince Kylak of Ilyam. At your kings request I was asked to make an appearance before your majesty.” Bowing like a respectable noblemen and not of a commoner he showed the knights humility, to calm the atmosphere. Long enough for the ones in their authority to intervene on his behalf.

Talia sighed as she slowly opened her eyes, looking at the canopy above her of the bed she was laying on. The sun was barely rising in the sky outside, and even though she knew that her day didn't need to start for another four hours, she couldn't make herself go back to sleep. Sitting up while rubbing her eyes, she slung off her covers and stood to her feet. He was coming today, the one she had never really met, but who she had apparently been promised to since she was a wee little two year old, and that was sixteen years ago. Padding over to her fireplace, she wrapped her long trailing sleeves over her arm and started up a fire. Sitting at her vanity next to the fire, Talia pulled out her hairbrush and started to brush her long, thick hair.

Hearing a knock at her door two hours later, she glanced up from the book that she had been reading for the past half hour to see her maids come in, two of them carrying the dress that she was to wear when then visiting prince and his retinue arrived later that afternoon. As they dressed her up after her light breakfast, Avaline, her senior most maid noticed the far away look in the princess' eyes, and she smiled sadly. "Worrying about the prince's arrival, Lady Talia? I'm sure they have a reason for never sending a painting." Talia looked at her with a faint smile. "Not at all." She muttered, letting out a low sigh.

There were ten kingdoms on the northern Continent of Aslan, and two of those kingdoms ran on two major parallels of lifestyle: her own country more focused on physical, scientific means of living, while the prince and lands were masters of magic and all it entailed. All the things she had learned over the past few months ran through her head as she sat on her chair under the canopy that had been set up in the front courtyard shortly after lunch. Her father was suspiciously absent, and Talia had the feeling that he was doing this on purpose. He had to be somewhere secret, to see how she could handle herself.

[Due to the magical nature of the prince's homeland, he can be any race]
